A word from our Pastor

Dear Church Family and Friends,

Carrie and I are happy, excited, and blessed to be here serving the Lord with you at Tri-County Baptist Church. We have been very impressed with the loving fellowship and generous spirit we have experienced in our time here. We believe in being mission-minded and were happy to learn of the mission activities you are participating in. We are glad to say we are a part of this church family.

Carrie and I have been serving God in rural churches for over 30 years. We have two children. Christy Olivas and her husband Fernando live and work in Wichita, Kansas.  They have a daughter, Clara who just turned a year old.  Our son Clay and his wife Ziva and their daughter Sophia and son Clif live in Ochelata. Sophia just turned 5 years old and Clif is 6 months old. (Go ahead and ask me if I have any pictures of the grandbabies; I dare you.) Sorry, I just had a grandpa moment.

We are originally from the Ponca City area and have served several churches in that area as pastor and wife since 1981. We moved to Bartlesville in 2007 to pastor a church north of Bartlesville. Carrie and I, also, teach in the Bartlesville School system. We believe God has been preparing us, not only to be a part of this church but also to be partners with you in the work of the kingdom.

We firmly believe that God wants this church to grow and reach out to our community. I would ask you to partner with us to pray for people. God knows where they are and who they are. We also ask that you pray for opportunities to invite and encourage people to come join us as we serve God in joy. Carrie and I are truly blessed to be a part of such a loving church.

In Christ,

Rev. Chris Cooper
